Planter Box Wall | DIY French Cleat | Balcony Pt 2

Planter Box Wall | DIY French Cleat

It’s spring, so it‘s time to plant some herbs and vegetables on our balcony. To do that, I build this Planter Box Wall with French Cleats. It has a small footprint and doubles as a privacy screen. The French Cleat makes the wall very versatile and once everything has grown will look very nice.

I build the structure out of Douglas fir, which is a good and affordable wood for outdoor projects. Everything is held together with waterproof wood glue and the screws, threaded rod and nuts are all stainless steel, so nothing should rust.
